Three years ago Abram Goldman-Armstrong opened his Cider Riot! Pub in Northeast Portland just after moving his Cider Riot! cidery from his home’s garage to this new industrial space. On Saturday, August 3rd, the pub will celebrate its 3rd Pubiversary with a special taplist, live music and soul and reggae DJs.

Festivities will begin at Noon with a special anniversary tap list that includes 2018 Kingston Black (Single Varietal) and Shaken Tree Yarlington Mill Cider (2017 PICC Gold Medal) on tap all day. Plus, pints of Cider Riot! standards will only be $5.00 all day.

In the evening Celtic punk band Charlie Mopps will take the stage at 8:00pm playing Pogues, Flogging Molly and Dubliners classics. The Soulsuckers DJ crew round out the night with all vinyl sets of soul, funk, and reggae.

Also taking place at the 3rd Anniversary is the release of Cider Riot!’s 2018 vintage of its 1763 Revolutionary West Country Cider, a traditional English West Country farmhouse cider named in honor of the Cider Riots. The 2015 and 2017 vintages of Cider Riot!’s 1763 won bronze awards at the Royal Bath and West Show in Somerset, and over the years the cider has won many awards at numerous US competitions as well. Made exclusively from tannin-rich English cider apples grown in Yamhill County, 1763 is suitable for aging and pairs exceptionally with vintage cheddar or Stilton. With the release of the 2018 vintage Saturday, Cider Riot! will be offering tasting flights of 6 vintages of 1763 dating back to 2013.
