6th Annual TOAST: The Original Artisan Spirits Tasting

The last Saturday of February is gearing up to be on great weekend for fans of distilled spirits. The Oregon Distillers Guild returns with the 6th Annual TOAST: The Original Artisan Spirits Tasting on February 27, 2016 from 4:00 to 10:00pm. This event joins the already announced 2nd Annual Brewstillery Festival at StormBreaker Brewing on the same day.

6th Annual TOAST: The Original Artisan Spirits Tasting will once again change locations this year to move to the Pearl District at the Really Big Video event space. For this year’s TOAST there will be over 120 spirits offerings from around 40 distillers. Choices will range from Whiskey, Rum, Gin, Vodka, Tequila, Brandy, Liqueurs along with more unique offerings like Absinthe and Aquavit. TOAST allows small distillers and producers to showcase their handcrafted spirits, while providing an opportunity for the public to experience the diversity and quality of craft spirits from Oregon and beyond.

While TOAST focuses on spirits, there will also be five of Portland’s top chefs offering small bites throughout the evening. Participating restaurants include Bellino Trattoria Siciliana, Lechon, Pok Pok, Smallwares, and Swank and Swine. Best of all the food options are all included in your ticket price.

In addition to chefs and distillers, Pok Pok Som Drinking Vinegar, Bradley’s Tonic, Interrobang Vermouth and other acclaimed beverage vendors will offer samples to complement the spirits. Skilled bartenders will be creating exceptional cocktails for guests to purchase at the bar.

General Admission tickets are $45, all-inclusive of food and spirit samples. VIP tickets (limited) are $65 and include two cocktails, one-hour early entry to the event, access to the VIP room, and entry to the distillers after party. A special $15 non-drinking admission will be available for designated drivers and those who do not wish to imbibe but still explore the event. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.

With the new location this year at the Really Big Video event space in the Pearl District, this location is conveniently located to many public transportation options. The MAX, bus and street cars all have stops very near the venue. There is also plenty of space for bikes. If you do drive, there are various parking lots and garages within the Pearl.
