9th Annual Great American Distillers Festival

Great American Distillers Festival

It’s time for a celebration of spirits, as the Great American Distillers Festival rolls into Portland, October 4th and 5th at the Tiffany Center.

The Great American Distillers Festival, now in its ninth year, showcases the products, passion and prowess of over 40 craft and artisan distillers from across the country.

In addition to spirits, the festival also offers tastings, a mixology contest for bartenders, and educational seminars for consumers, retailers and distillers.  The GADF is open to industry professionals, bartenders and consumers.

Attendees can sample the character and complexity of a large variety of whiskeys, rums, vodkas and gins from locally owned and operated distillers, as well as handcrafted cocktails and specialty recipes.  An onsite retail store will allow festival goers the opportunity to purchase spirits to take home.

A one day pass with 10 tasting tickets is $25, with additional tasting tickets and food available for purchase.  Festival hours are Friday from 5pm to 10pm, and Saturday from 1pm to 10pm.

And this year, on Friday, October 4th, blues artist Ural Thomas headlines an “After Dark” festival event, featuring live music and dancing from 9pm to 1am.  Tickets are $10.

For more information or to purchase advance tickets, visit www.distillersfestival.com.  Tickets can also be purchased the day of the event at the Tiffany Center, located at 1410 SW Morrison Street in downtown Portland.

The GADF is sponsored by the Rogue Foundation and Rogue Spirits, whose world class spirits are brewed, distilled, barreled, aged and bottled by hand at The House of Spirits in Newport, Oregon using ingredients grown at the Rogue Farms Hopyard and Barley Farm.
