The Connoisseur Brewer’s Dinner & Whiskey Dinner at Laurelwood 

Laurelwood Brewing Co.Portland, OR – Laurelwood Public House & Brewery is hosting a Connoisseur Brewer’s Dinner & Whiskey Pairing Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at our new Southeast Portland location, 6716 SE Milwaukie Ave. A fantastic night of food paired with some great barrel aged beers and whiskey from Young’s Market Company. Brewers will be on hand to talk beer, a spirits representative to touch base on the wonderful whiskey selections, and our chef will walk through how the food is complimented by the beverages. First Course

Salad: Endive and frisee salad with a poached egg and Mother Lode Golden Ale vinaigrette over house made pancetta.

Whiskey: Old Forester

Beer: Mother Lode Golden Ale


Second Course

Bruschetta: House made anise and caraway bruschetta with coffee glazed duck confit.

Whiskey: Jack Daniels Gentleman Jack

Beer: Bourbon Barrel Aged Organic Espresso Stout


Third Course

Soup: Moose & Squirrel carrot soup with sweet potato fries and bourbon aioli.

Whiskey: Jack Daniels Single Barrel

Beer: Bourbon Barrel Aged Moose & Squirrel Russian Imperial Stout


Fourth Course

Main: Braised buffalo rib and elk medallion with potatoes dauphine, au jus, and braised greens.

Whiskey: Woodford Reserve Double Oaked

Beer: Bourbon Barrel Aged Olde Reliable Barley Wine

Fifth Course

Dessert: Mango macadamia nut canolli, starfruit tartlet and spiced rice pudding, with a kiwi coulis.

Whiskey: Woodford Reserve

Beer: Bourbon/Brandy Barrel Aged Vinter Varmer Winter Strong Ale
