Full Throttle Hale's Tasting

Can you believe it’s SUMMER? Bring on the beer!! Tomorrow we welcome Rob from Hale’s Brewery in Fremont, they of the “Think Globally, Drink Locally” idea (good idea huh??). Rob will be bringing brewer Lincoln and a special “test” pale he created just recently! As an added bonus, he’ll also be bringing their regular pale so we can all compare! Plus of course, our regular line-up of fun Hale’s beer listed below! You know you wanna be a guinea pig!!

And as a special guest, we’re happy to announce Geoff Kaiser, Seattle Beer News blogger and official new partner of the Seattle Times will be joining us for this event! Here’s a link to his site where he discusses all things beer!:  Seattle Beer News

Kolsch German Style Ale: This German style ale is a refreshing golden ale. It is fermented using a genuine Kolsch yeast, then cold lagered. The result is a delicious, light ale that shares many flavor charcteristics of a traditional pilsner. The fold lagering of the finished ale produces its crisp, clean taste.
Pale Ale: First brewed on July 4, 1983, Hale’s Pale Ale is the brewery’s flagship, and the northwest’s premier pale ale. Hale’s Pale strikes a delicate balance of malts and hops, and is embellished by tthe distinctive fruitness of the brewery’s special yeast. A Northwest Classic!
Supergoose IPA: If you’re one of those IPA fanciers who can never seem to find “quite enough” hops in your favorite style, we recommend you give this Goose a flyer. It’s got hops, and then some more, and lots of malt backbone, and a nose that will make you swear you’re driving through Yakima in August. And of course, we know, there can never be “too Many” hops in your favorite beer, but this one could be getting close…
Seattle Beer Week Double IPA: Hale’s was given the honor of being chosen as the brewer for the ‘official’ beer of Seattle Beer Week 2010. They delivered with a Double IPA that packs a big flavor punch – just what you’d want in a brew to represent a week that honors ALL beers. A big malt backbone balanced by an impressive hop character, and then another wallop of hop aroma in the finish. They say very fun to make, we say extremely fun to drink.
El Jefe Hefeweizen: “El Jefe”, translated, means “The Boss”, or “The Chief”. That’s the position that this new hefeweizen from Hale’s Ales aspires to. El Jefe pushes the wheat beer category to a new level — . The flavor profile is “true Bavarian Style” — complex and mouth-filling, with the spicey and fruity influences that only genuine hefeweizen yeast can produce. Craft beer lovers are ready to take this next step in their appreciation of the unique beers of the world. This is a beer that combines old world quality and character with new world freshness–the best of both worlds.
We

will be tasting these tomorrow, Wednesday, June 16, from 5pm-7pm. Only $4 for all of them!  Our usual “be green” offer applies: Bring your own tasting glass and save a dollar!!
