Oregon Beer Odyssey Presents: Barrel-Aged Beers

Great Divide beers aging in Stranahan's whiskey barrels**NEW CLASS** In this class we will taste a wide range of rare, barrel-aged beers to examine the ways that brewers are using various types of wood-aging in the brewing process. Barrel programs are often labors of love for small brewers, who devote inordinate time and labor to creating specialty beers. Learn the ins and outs of the barrel-aging process while tasting brews that use barrels to embolden beers with flavor and inoculate them with wild organisms that create funky, sour beers.
