Golden Valley Brewing Drops Tannenbomb
When I first moved to Oregon 14 years ago, one of the first regional craft beers that really tickled my fancy was Golden Valley Brewing‘s Tannenbomb Ale. A big chewy, rich English Strong Ale built exquisitely for cold and rainy Pacific Northwest winters. Boasting more than 110 pounds blended Pale, Carastan, and Crystal malts per barrel, this is, as the commercial description accurately assesses “a beer of true character and distinction.” With all these big mealy malts in the mix, Tannenbomb is perfectly seasoned with a generous hopping schedule of Chinook, Liberty, and Fuggles, before being dry-hopped with Willamette Kent Goldings for a mouthwatering aromatic beckoning.

My initial read of your headline “GVB Drops Tannenbomb” was met with considerable distress, as I thought you were announcing the discontinuation of this well liked seasonal. I am most happy to have been in error.
The play on words is quite funny if you consider the origination of the word.
