Hair of the DogIn their new digs situated centrally in close-in Southeast Portland uncorks their  their 17th anniversary celebration by opening with specialty taps to be rotated throughout the weekend. On Saturday morning at 10:00, brewer-chef-founder Alan Sprints will initiate sales of a couple specialty bottles. HOTD’s two newly release offering will include a 2010 vintage of Doggie Claws Barleywine and the second ever release of Matt, a beer brewed in honor of Seattle’s Bottleworks founder Matt Vandenberghe. Currently, the limited first run twelve ounce bottles of Matt are selling at the brewpub for $25 a piece, so demand for this year’s vintage is anticipated to be rather high. For this, Sprints has announced that a limit of six bottles of Matt will be implemented. However, there will be no limit on the barleywine.
