Hopworks Launches 2015 Community Tap Program with Friends of Trees

HUB Community Tap Friends of Trees

PORTLAND, Ore. – The first day of 2015 marked the official launch of the Community Tap program at Hopworks Urban Brewery. The program is one way that Hopworks is working to support the local organizations that Hopworks has come to respect and admire. Through the monthly Community Tap program, Hopworks will send 1% of pint sales from the entire month at their Powell brewpub to that month’s partnering organization.

HUB Friends of TreesThe Community Tap partner in January is Friends of Trees. Hopworks is proud to partner with Friends of Trees, because of the organization’s dedication to communities and the greening of neighborhoods throughout Portland. HUB will host a Community Tap kickoff night on January 5th, beginning at 5:30pm, where patrons can get to know the people behind Friends of Trees.

Additionally Hopworks employees will volunteer to plant trees with Friends of Trees on January 17 in the Creston-Kenilworth neighborhood and on February 14th planting in the NE Boise neighborhood. Hopworks is encouraging their fans and neighbors to also volunteer on these dates. More information about volunteering with Friends of Trees can be found here.
