Mt Tabor Brewing Throwing a Party For First Friday in Vancouver, WA

Mt Tabor Brewing

Press Release:

First Friday means Vancouver’s Art Walk and fun times at Mt Tabor Brewing.  To make First Friday in February extra special we’ve partnered up with our good friends at Moreland Print and Friday Freezer Artist Charlie Layton to create an event you won’t want to miss.

Charlie Layton, a Pennsylvania-based artist, realized one morning that his freezer was made of the same surface as a dry-erase board. He began drawing various scenes on it every Friday morning as he drank his coffee, and posted the pictures to his Facebook page. A friend started sharing his photos on various forums and when people caught wind of this his blog’s daily page views skyrocketed from around 50 to over 17,000, providing amusement to friends and strangers alike.  When asked what inspires his artwork, Charlie says it’s usually something that will look good in black and white as well as something cold or arctic.  His Friday drawings average between 60-100 Facebook likes per drawing and have shown up on blogs as far away as Europe and Japan, with various media outlets featuring him and his creations.

David Cummings of Vancouver’s own Moreland Print has formed a relationship with Charlie and is now printing and selling these shirts at MorelandPrint.com, and they have Mt Tabor founder/brewer Eric Surface (left) and Brewpublic's Dan Culver at Killer Washington Beer Night at By The Bottleagreed to make three designs available and sell them in the brewery Friday February 1, 2013.  Shirts will be $20 each and $10 from the sale of every shirt sold that night will go to the Vancouver Children’s Center, whose mission is to serve children, youth and families through comprehensive community-based mental health services.  There is no better way to give back than to grab one of these unique t-shirts, while also enjoying the great atmosphere provided by Eric Surface and the crew at Mt Tabor Brewing
