Portland, Ore (September 23, 2019) — Classic Wines Auction announces its Fall Winemaker Dinner lineup, a series benefiting five local local nonprofit organizations that support children and families. The mid-November series welcomes new restaurants, innovative winery partners from Oregon and beyond, seven female chefs, cocktails and cider, the return of brunch and more.
The Fall Winemaker Dinners pair top chefs and restaurants with notable winemakers for a unique, multi-course collaboration and pairing experience. The series includes 21 dinners spanning Tuesday, November 12 through Thursday, November 14, plus a Saturday brunch on November 16. Event tickets are limited and can be purchased here.
Held at some of Portland’s most iconic restaurants including Jacqueline, RingSide Steakhouse, St Jack and Aviary, each dinner venue has partnered with notable wineries like Evening Land Vineyards, Alexana Winery, Et Fille, Vincent Wine Company and many others. A popular brunch will return to Bistro Agnes with Lemelson Vineyards on Saturday.
New for this series, Classic Wines Auction welcomes Gramercy Cellars from Washington, offers an all-sparkling wine dinner with Lytle-Barnett, celebrates International Tempranillo Day with Abacela Winery and Kriselle Cellars at Enoteca Nostrana, brings cider and cocktail pairings into the fold with dinners at The Nightwood Society and Quainterelle, respectively, and branches out to Lake Oswego with a dinner at Nicoletta’s Table. Nine of the 21 dinners feature female chefs or winemakers. A full list of events can be found below.
Recognized by Wine Spectator as one of the top ten charity wine auctions in the country, Classic Wines Auction has held a longstanding mission of supporting local charities working in the communities of Oregon and Southwest Washington. Through special seasonal events and an annual auction and gala in March, Classic Wines Auctions has raised nearly $850 million since 1982.
Proceeds raised from Winemaker Dinner ticket sales support five local nonprofit partners: Metropolitan Family Service, New Avenues for Youth, Friends of the Children – Portland, YWCA Clark County and Unity Center for Behavioral Health.
All dinners start at 6:30 pm (brunch at 10:00 am) and prices range from $85 to $150 per person. Tickets are limited and can be purchased via winemakerdinnerspdx.com
