Northeast Portland’s Migration Brewing has just announced plans to expand their facility on NE Glisan. Below is more information that Migration’s Colin Rath sent us regarding their 2,000 square foot expansion.

Press Release:

When Migration started in 2010 we leased 3,000 square feet of a 5,000 square foot building with the dream of future expansion. Migration Brewing is excited to announce that dream will come true with construction on the other 2,000 square feet of our building starting November 1st.  This expansion will be the start of our journey to increase front of house seating by 50% and beer barrel production by 60%.

Our expanded front of house will now more than ever facilitate crowds to: cheer on Timber playoff victories, the Blazers newly found flair, day drinking with the World Cup matches, private event space for celebrations and community groups, and long summer days on the larger patio.  We will be able to accentuate all of Portland’s favorite activities with our new kitchen and reinvented menu coming in early 2014.

Migration = Open For Biz

We will also gain additional cooler space and storage allowing us to increase cooperage with the purchase of new 15bbl fermenters in 2014. This will allow the brewery to produce more high quality seasonal beers, while still providing the year round beers customers have come to love.

We will be open during regular business hours and will be taking all precautions to make sure the construction will not affect the experience or ambiance at the current pub.

To celebrate our new space we are planning on celebrating December 31st 2013 with live music, DJ, extended hours, and a brand new beer with limited 750ml bottles available.  So mark your calendars and join us for a celebration towards the next great Migration.
