Belgian IPA, My Cat, and Slumdog Millionaire
I love my cats. To me, like many people with their children, I am under the impression that mine are the cutest and most special of all. Sitting back on my couch last night watching a bootleg DVD of Slumdog Millionaire with my cat Gammet, I had a few distinct revelations that now seem as nonsensical as the entirety of this post. First off, Slumdog Millionaire, a brilliant movie, featuring the colorful and stylistic nuances of Indian culture, led me to toast a special pour of De Regenboog’s ‘t Smisje plus IPA. As you can ascertain from the notes above, this beer is phenomenal! A perfect complement to Slumdog.
What better way to enjoy a Bollywood-esque title directed by a Scot (Danny Boyle) than by toasting an India Pale Ale made by a Belgian. Any old way, the result is a celebration of great art and flavor with a great cat.
