Beer Bloggers Conference in Portland, Oregon

Portland Beer Bloggers Conference

Coming to Portland August 19-21 is the Beer Bloggers Conference (BBC). The inaugural conference was held in Boulder, Colorado this past November. Also, a European BBC was held in May in London. Run by Zephyr Adventures out of Montana, BBC the event combines a unique interactive educational experience replete with a lot of fun and craft beer tasting.

Brewpublic has assisted BBC founder Allan Wright in orchestrating panels and events that best highlight facets of Portland we would like to share with other like-minded folks from around the continent, some even from overseas. Leading up to the first BBC in Boulder, we were initially a bit apprehensive as to what an adventure company would be able to offer to us beer bloggers. As it turned out, Wright and his crew put forth a thorough itinerary of events in a world class beer town. Pulling from the first two successful conference, this summer’s BBC promises to be the best yet. Not to mention, Portland, Oregon is the penultimate craft beer destination in North America, if not the entire world.

A number of panels such as Lessons From Portland as a Beer (and Beer Blogging) City, Working With Your Local Brewery, and Learning From Industry Bloggers will showcase Portland and Oregon beer industry insiders such as Oakshire’s Matt Van Wyk, Breakside’s Ben Edmund, and journalist Lisa Morrison. A real treat for attendees will be keynote speakers Fred Eckhardt and John Foyston.

In addition to a variety of compelling conference panels, the BBC will feature an assortment of satellite events such as trips to local breweries, a pub crawl, dinner at BridgePort Brewery, and a day trip to the Oregon hop fields.
