GoodLife Brewing of Bend, OR has announced the  release their next draught-only craft beer, Comatose Imperial IPA. This big and bold 9.5% ABV, 95 IBU behemoth back a wallop of five pounds per barrel hops and looks to tame even the most zealous of hop heads. Here’s the details from the brewery, including an official release date. Also, look for the beer to be pouring at Brewpublic’s KillerBeerFest 3.5 at Bailey’s Taproom on Sunday May 27, 2012. Mother Nature’s seasons are amazing, where all her creations flux between an existence in winter’s comatose state, spring’s colorful fling, summer’s hot dance, and fall’s laidback swing.  The creative juices of musicians jump from an unconscious, winter mindset spurring you to think concerts, road trips, and campsites.  One sip of this beer will get your blood flowing as you jam to your favorite tunes!

GoodLife Brewing CompanyWeighing in at 9.5% and measuring 95 IBUS, Comatose is a triple dry hopped, Imperial IPA.  This heavyweight has over 5 lbs. of hop per barrel, which makes the aroma smell of strong orange candy followed by citrus and spice.  The beer continues jabbing the taste buds with a taste of biting into a fresh grapefruit with a balanced malt character that finishes strong and clean. Ding, ding, ding… TKO!

Comatose will be available in 1/6 barrels and 1/2 barrels on Monday, April 31st.  GoodLife is throwing a release party on Saturday, April 28th in their brewery.
