MacTarnahan's Releases Ink Blot Baltic Porter

You may have had the chance at a sneak peak…ur taste…of MacTarnahan’s latest release, the Ink Blot Baltic Porter. This deep, rich, and, yes, inky brew is quite delicious and we expect to be quaffing a lot more of it once autumn settles in. Munich, Caramel, Special B, and Carafa malts and Perle hops are used in making this beer, the latest in Mac’s Big Bottle Series.

We sampled some bottles of this wonderful beer at a meet the brewer event at The BeerMongers last month, as well as some on draught pours at our BrewPubliCrawl at The Hop & Vine, and have to honestly say this 7.5% ABV, 35 IBU beer knocks it out of the park. Lots of complex deep fruit flavors alluding to plum, raison, and even a hint of cherry.

Available August through October, the Ink Blot will be made available in the fine states of Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Alaska, and Hawaii. Draught pours will be limited to Pyramid Alehouses, and only 477 cases of the beer in bottles will see the light of day. This is a great excuse to get out to Mac’s Taproom and try some today!
