Doppelgangers Full Sail Brewmaster John Harris (right) and Beer blogger Charles Culp

John Harris is the brewmaster for Full Sail Brewing Company.  His latest creations, three versions of the Lupulin Fresh hop beer each features a different hop varietal (Read more about this on John Foyston’s The Beer Heer Blog).   The Lupulin(s) will be available at the remaining 2008 Oregon Bounty Fresh Hop Festivals and at Full Sail’s Harborside Pilsner Room and their Hood River location while supplies last. Harris is also the imaginative creator of the Brewmaster’s Reserve Series beers from Full Sail such as the Bourbon Barreled Top Sail Imperial Porter, Prodigal Sun IPA, and Old Boardhead Barleywine. He is also the man behind the lastest 21st Anniversary Doppelbock which is a malty robust and flavorful one time offering. Full Sail won two gold medals at the Great American Beer Festival for their Sessions Lager and Pale Ale.

Charles Culp is the author of An Ear For Beer blog and an active resident in the Brewpublic.  The Vancouver, Washington resident and Texas native’s blog, named for Portland beer guru Fred Eckhardt‘s mantra “Listen to your beer,” chronicles an array of interesting beer happenings in Portland and beyond.  His latest writings are of his recent trip to the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado and a very wet wet hop festival in Hood River, Oregon.

Harris and Culp allegedly are not related, but with their creative beer minds and dashing good looks, we are quite suspicious.
