The Commons Brewery Releases Emelie

The Commons Emelie

Emelie, the latest bottle release from The Commons Brewery will take place this weekend on Saturday, August 31st beginning at 2:00pm at their brewery in Southeast Portland. This special bottle release of Emelie marks the fourth beer from their Beetje Series.

Aged in Pinot Noir barrels for 10 months, Emelie is a sour ale brewed with Wyeast Roesclare Blend along with additional house grown cultures. During this 10 month maturation, Emelie developed complex acidity while retaining its soft maltiness from its base beer.

Here is what to expect during their release event on Saturday. Emelie will be available in 750ml capped bottles for $12 per bottle. The Commons will be tapping the last remaining keg of Emelie as well as Braam, a one-off Blackberry sour stout.

The Commons brew team L to R: Sean Burke, Josh Grgas, Mike Wright

The Beetje Series is a celebration of The Commons Brewery’s nano roots. First brewed in 2010 on a one-barrel system in Mike Wright’s garage, these small batch beers pay homage to the rustic brewery that continues to inspire us.

So if your plans keep you in Portland over Labor Day Weekend make a trip to The Commons Brewery on Saturday, August, 31st for some delicious European-inspired beers.
