Cider Riot! Pub and Cidery Grand Opening Party
|Three months after opening its doors to its new pub, Cider Riot! Pub and Cidery will officially host its Grand Opening Party on Saturday, November 12th from Noon to 10:00pm. Located near many Central Eastside breweries, and only one block from Burnside Brewing, Cider Riot! is ready to celebrate with its loyal fans for a day of limited release ciders, cidery tours, live music from Rendezvous String Band and Bridgetown Morris Men will be dancing.
Back on August 11th Cider Riot! Pub officially opened to the public as it built out its newly relocated cidery. (Our initial review can be read here.) The pub takes up about 700 square feet of the cidery’s overall 7,300 square feet of space. To keep with founder, Abram Goldman-Armstrong’s appreciation of a true English pub, there are hard tip dartboards along with an old-time record player that adds to the ambiance of the pub’s ten taps. Of these, six taps are always house ciders that are rounded out by 2 guest cider taps and 2 guest beer taps. Minors are always welcome with a parent until 7:00pm.
Special cider releases for the Grand Opening include the 2015 vintage of 1763 Revolutionary West Country Cider, San Patricios Tequila-Barrel Aged Irish Cider, and many exclusive draft-only releases.
If you arrive hungry take advantage of the pub’s resident food cart, Ramy’s Lamb Shack. Located outside in the “cider garden” this food cart features local organic lamb kebabs, gyros, and falafel along with vegan and gluten free options.
Arriving to Cider Riot! Pub and Cidery is easy via public transit. TriMet’s #12, #19, and #20 Bus stops just one block away as the Portland Streetcar is only three blocks to the west.
