Gigantic Brewing Releases 2017 MASSIVE! Bourbon Barrel Aged Barley Wine Today
On the heels of a release earlier this year in February 2017, Gigantic Brewing is back with the return of 2017 MASSIVE! Bourbon Barrel Aged Barley Wine. This nearly 2 year Heaven Hill bourbon barrel aged beer will see its release this afternoon at the Gigantic Brewing Tap Room and Champagne Lounge when it opens at 3:00pm.
After sharing an early bottle last evening 2017 MASSIVE! Bourbon Barrel Aged Barley Wine offers up some strong, prominent barrel character without the booziness normally associated with a beer this fresh from the barrel. Plus with this latest release of 2017 MASSIVE! Bourbon Barrel Aged, it will be released in more consumer friendly 500mL (16.9oz.) bottles along with a very limited supply of draft.

2017 MASSIVE! Bourbon Barrel Aged Barley Wine Description:
In making MASSIVE! Bourbon Barrel Aged, we used only British Golden Promise Malt and boiled for eight hours, giving the beer a deep ruby color and rich malt flavor. We then aged MASSIVE! in bourbon barrels for almost 2 years. Enjoy the richness and intensity now or after years and years more of aging.
14.3% ABV / 500mL Bottles
Once again as with all of the MASSIVE! releases from Gigantic, AJ Fosik is the label artist. We are a huge fan of his 3D work that can occasionally be found inside the Gigantic Brewing Taproom and albums by Mastodon.
