Double Mountain Brewery 2023 Fresh Hop Beer Releases

They’re back… Double Mountain Brewery & Cidery has returned with its lineup of 2023 Fresh Hop Beers! The Hood River, Oregon based brewer has just announced its collection of fresh hop beers from the 2023 hop harvest. Double Mountain returns with fan-favorites Killer Red and Killer Green, both available as of today, as well as introducing Fresh Hop Iowa Bar Fight IPA, a collaboration with Solera Brewery. Then later this  month, the brewery will also offer two draft only fresh hop beers this season, Killer Juicy IPA and Mishegoss IPL.

In brewing these five fresh hop beers, Double Mountain sourced all of its fresh hops from Crosby Hop Farm in Woodburn, Oregon. This picturesque farm, nestled between the majestic Cascade Mountains and the pristine Oregon Coast, benefits from the region’s temperate climate, making it an ideal hop growing environment.

Crafting the perfect beer is an art, and at Double Mountain, we believe that music plays a crucial role in enhancing the flavor, aroma, and overall ambiance of the tasting experience. To that end, Double Mountain has curated three individual Spotify playlists on each label that harmonizes with each beer in our fresh hop lineup. Here’s a rundown on the three bottled fresh hop beers from Double Mountain Brewery & Cidery.

KILLER RED FRESH HOP IRA

Fresh from the hop fields of the Willamette Valley, we bring you Killer Red. Sticky grapefruit and tangerine aromas lead through a dank forest of ponderosa pines.

KILLER GREEN FRESH HOP IPA
7.3% ALC/VOL | 80 BU | CENTENNIAL FRESH HOPS
Enormous amounts of fresh hops from the Willamette Valley lend a kind forest character with dewy, ripe citrus and crisp evergreen aromas. Be Green. Drink Killer Green.

FRESH HOP IOWA BAR FIGHT IPA
6.4% ALC/VOL | 60 BU | STRATA FRESH HOPS
We joined forces with Solera Brewery and a gang of Fresh Hop Strata for a brawl of sticky citrus and resinous tropic aromas. Sometimes you eat the bar, other times the bar eats you.

Killer Red, Killer Green, and Fresh Hop Iowa Bar Fight are available in refillable 500mL bottles. In addition to the packaged beers, Killer Red, Killer Green, Fresh Hop Iowa Bar Fight, Killer Juicy, and Mishegoss are/will be available on draft at Double Mountain’s Hood River Taproom, Woodstock Taproom, Overlook Taproom and at fine establishments throughout the Northwest.
