Celebrate Oktoberfest at pFriemtoberfest with Grasslands Barbecue
The Hood River Waterfront Park will transform into a Bavarian Oktoberfest celebration on Saturday, September 21 when pFriemtoberfest takes place. pFriem Family Brewers and Grasslands Barbecue will partner to host a family friendly Oktoberfest in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge that takes place from 2:00 – 7:00pm.
The five-hour festival will bring together traditional German music, games, German-inspired food, and plenty of pFriem beer, including the brewery’s exceptional Oktoberfest and the debut of pFriem + Grasslands 10° Pils. These two beers will be available in steins, making for a perfect way to honor Munich’s Oktoberfest, that also begins its multi-week run on the same day!
But this will not be the only beer flowing, as pFriem will also be serving up its classics, including Pilsner, West Coast IPA, and Hazy IPA. pFriemtoberfest will also be serving up Son of Man Cider and Bitburger NA.
Another highlight of pFriemtoberfest is its partnership with Grasslands Barbecue and its Oktoberfest themed food menu. Look for a wide array of German favorites such as sausages, crispy pork knuckles, smoked game hens, steak tartare, and beef tongue stroganoff. To compliment these fine dishes, Grasslands will also prepare some mouthwatering side dishes. This includes pretzels, potato salad, cabbage, noodles, and fries!
And to keep the atmosphere along the Hood River waterfront festive, pFriemtoberfest will also feature a few various activities. There will be mobile axe throwing, Oktoberfest themed games and plenty of polka music to keep you moving.
