Rogue Ales & Portland Trail Blazers Team Up on Rip City IPA

With the Portland Trail Blazers season to tip off on October 23, 2024 against the Golden State Warriors, the team will have a new co-branded beer for the season. For the 2024-2025 season, the Trail Blazers have teamed up with Rogue Ales & Spirits on the brand-new Rip City IPA.

“We are excited to unveil the Rip City IPA in partnership with Rogue as we tip off another exciting season of Trail Blazers basketball,” said Laura Flynn, Senior Vice President of Commercial Partnerships, in a press release. “Our shared pride for Oregon and passion for creating spaces for community connection made this collaboration a natural fit as we toast to the next chapter of Rip City.”

Rip City IPA brings together two or Oregon’s most well-known entities. The Trail Blazers have entertaining basketball fans in Portland since 1970 and Rogue has been brewing world class beer since 1988. This is a great partnership that puts the spotlight on two Oregon classics!

Rip City IPA is a West Coast IPA that delivers a refreshing, balanced experience with tropical and citrus hop aromas and a hint of pine. Crisp and clean, thanks to Rogue’s proprietary Pacman yeast, it embodies the game’s energy and the Pacific Northwest’s spirit and arrives at 7% ABV and 62 IBUs.

During the 2024-25 season, Rip City IPA will be available at all Rogue pubs across Oregon, giving Blazers fans the perfect place to gather for every game—home or away. To sweeten the deal, Rogue will offer $1 off any pint of Rip City IPA at Rogue pubs during Trail Blazer games.

Then for one away game this season, Rogue will be rallying Rip City and hosting a Trail Blazers watch party at the Rogue Eastside Pub and Rogue will also host two samplings in arena this season, more details will be announced at a later date. Fans can also bring their new favorite beverage home as the Rip City IPA will be available for purchase at Fred Meyer and other local stores in 4-pack, 16 ounce cans featuring the iconic Blazers’ Pinwheel logo.
