Beer Zombies Crowned 2024 Beer Selfie Brewery of the Year

Social media has a significant influence on craft beer and it’s a trend that continues to hold strong. BeerSelfie.com, a leading online community for craft beer enthusiasts, has just announced the winner of its 2024 Beer Selfie Brewery of the Year!

Las Vegas based Beer Zombies Brewery has been named the 2024 Beer Selfie Brewery of the Year following an extensive fan-driven competition. Organized by BeerSelfie.com, the contest evaluated over 400 breweries based on @beerselfie Instagram posts. The competition spotlighted 16 top breweries from around the globe, including well-known names such as Trillium, Monkish, and Treehouse Brewing.

Beer Zombies advanced to the semifinal round alongside Sierra Nevada, Solaris Beer & Blending, and Green Cheek Beer Co., ultimately securing victory in the final vote against Solaris. The online contest garnered over 20,000 views, nearly 1,000 votes, and over 1,000 other interactions (comments, shares, etc.), with Beer Zombies earning 55% of the final round votes.

Beer Zombies founder Chris Jacobs credits much of the brewery’s success to its emphasis on community. Jacobs has personally managed the brand’s social media accounts since its inception, fostering an authentic connection with fans. His presence at festivals and events further strengthens the sense of community around the brand.

“Since day one, I’ve been the face behind the socials,” stated Jacobs in a press release. “That direct connection helps make Beer Zombies feel more like a community than just a company.”

2024 marked several major milestones for Beer Zombies. The brand opened its first full-scale brewery in Las Vegas, realizing a long-term goal to produce its beers independently. Additionally, Beer Zombies acquired Tenaya Creek Brewery, a staple in the Las Vegas beer community celebrating its 25th anniversary. As Beer Zombies approaches its 11th-anniversary celebration in December 2024, the brand plans to release 11 new collaborations to commemorate the occasion.
