APEX Celebrates First Year of Kicking Your Palate's Butt
In case you like great beer, here’s a reminder that APEX (yes thee Apex bar at SE Division and 12th Ave) will be celebrating its 1st Anniversary this Saturday, May 7th beginning at 11:30AM until the end of the day at 2:30AM. Publican Jesse McCann has showed us the draft lineup (he wants it to be a surprise for you so we’ll hold back), and let us just promise you that it isgoing to be OUT OF THIS WORLD! Jesse says “I’ve been stashing special kegs all year and will be unleashing them all at once on Saturday…Definitely not to be missed.”
Brewvana Portland Brewery Tours will be offering rides to and from APEX and hitting up Cascade Brewing Barrel House’s Saison Fest as well.

Mother’s Day Beer & Cheese Pairing with Lisa Morrison
Sunday May 8, 2011 1-3pm $45/ person Join BREWVANA this Sunday @ Saraveza! for a fun filled day of the best 2 things ever: Beer, and Cheesecake!?We will pick you up between noon and 1, to make it to the event on time. Lisa Morrison, the Beer Goddess, and Sarah Pederson of Saraveza are hosting a unique Mother’s Day event. Help your mom discover her perfect craft beer and cheesecake pair (or just come and tell your mom about it later)! Enjoy samples of 6 savory and sweet cheesecakes made by local bakers & brewers (including Hair of the Dog, Block 15 & Alaskan) as well as 8+ craft beers. Lisa will also be signing copies of her newly published book, “Craft Beers of the Pacific Northwest: A Beer Lover’s Guide to Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia”.
