Happy Birthday, John Foyston!
Join The BeerMongers guys, Saturday July 9, 2011 from 5-10PM, for a special birthday celebration for our friend John Foyston. John is the man behind the Oregonian’s The Beer Here blog and has been writing about craft beer here in Oregon for more than 15 years.
John says “I know there’ll be a keg of Anchor Steam and maybe Amnesia Alt unless we’ve drunk it all…”
In addition to the brew and merriment, Foyston will have a couple dozen of his paintings from the last year that haven’t shown anywhere yet. The man says these are “almost all are plein air (painted outdoors onsite) or live studies and none was painted from a photograph, which was a big step. Several were painted at the Brooklyn rail roundhouse, where I’ve been painting for a couple of months…”
Come out and salute a friend to all who love Oregon beer. Happy birthday, John. You are the man!
