October 7, 2015 – Bend, OregonBringing the adventure inside, The Row, Tetherow’s upscale Scottish-style pub, announced today that it is partnering with various craft breweries throughout the fall and winter months, beginning in November with Worthy Brewing Company. The Row will host the exclusive unveiling of Worthy’s new West Coast IPA.

Tetherow’s own Chef Justin Birtola and The Row Manager, Sean Mercer, will craft delicious beer-infused eclectic menu items using Worthy brews and spent grains to perfectly pair with the featured beers. Just some of the beer-fueled recipes include Maui Wowie Pork Verde Tacos and Snakebite Porter Baked Goat Cheese Dip, and much more.

“We have been extremely impressed with how The Row presents beer with cuisine, and really wanted to be a part of what they are building,” says Branden Andersen, Beer Consultant, Worthy Brewing Company. “We have been collaborating with the chefs at Tetherow to create an exclusive new beer recipe for introduction at The Row and at Worthy, which not only pairs well the menu offerings, but will also gear toward the palate of their customers,” added Andersen. The new concoction, under development by Brewmaster Dustin Kellner of Worthy Brewing, will experiment with a set of newer hops.

Worthy Brews Featured at The Row will include:

  • New Exclusive Beer: Expect a west coast IPA with strong pineapple and guava flavor and aroma, with clean malt body and firm bitterness.
  • Easy Day Kolsch: 4.5% ABV / Light, German style hybrid lager brewed with a touch of wheat to add body and sweetness.
  • Powder Keg Winter Ale: 7.1% ABV / A different take on a winter ale. Powder Keg has a biscuity, caramel malt body cleaned by piney hop bitterness, perfect for warming you up without weighing you down.
  • Lights Out Stout: 7.7% ABV / Brewed with whole Madagascar vanilla beans and milk sugar, Lights Out Stout is smooth and sweet, but not cloying.

“It’s only natural for Tetherow to partner with local breweries to combine their craft with ours, and sourcing locally also aligns perfectly with our sustainability values,” says Chef Birtola. “In the culinary process, we use any and all elements of the beer and turns it into some component of the featured dish – sauces, braises, reductions, salad dressings, and more,” add Birtola.

Tentative schedule of featured breweries this winter includes:

  • December: Hop Valley Brewing
  • January: Pfriem Family Brewers
  • February: Sunriver Brewing Company
  • March: Deschutes Brewery
