Migration Brewing Earns Four Awards At 2017 Denver International Beer Competition
|Portland’s Migration Brewing recently brought home four awards from the 2017 Denver International Beer Competition. This international beer judging event took place from April 1-2, 2017 at Omni Interlocken Resort in Broomfield, Colorado. Of the 270+ beers and ciders that were judged double blind by 12 BJCP certified and national judges, Migration was awarded four medals, one gold, two silver and one bronze.
Migration Brewing Awards:
- Gold – Straight Outta Portland IPA
- Silver – Old Silenus Strong Ale
- Silver – Frankie Belgian Stout
- Bronze – Luscious Lupulin
The Gold Medal Winner “Straight Outta Portland” (7.3% ABV 69 IBU) is a bright West Coast IPA that jumps off the glass with big tropical juicy aromatics and crisp finish. Brewed in the heart of the city, this West Coast IPA features Pilsner and Vienna malt for a medium/light body with a bready malt profile. Copious amounts of Strata, Cluster and Mosaic hops lend a guava, berry, pine and lemongrass twist to this beer that of course is brewed with plenty of attitude!
