BeerQuest Walking Tours presents its Haunted Valentine Pub Tour that will take place from February 11-18, 2017 in Portland’s Old Town Historic District. The tour will feature 7 craft beer samples from Kells Brew Pub an and Old Town Brewing. Stops on the tour include Kells Irish Restaurant & Pub, Dan and Louis Oyster Bar, and Old Town Pizza & Brewing.
Taking place in the Old Town Historic District, this area was once the scene of a less savory and lawless past around 100 years ago. Its cobblestone streets are the perfect stage for BeerQuest Walking Tours’ 2.5-hour Haunted Valentine Pub Tour.
BeerQuest Walking Tours describes its tour as taking you into three historic Portland pubs for beer tastings and ghost stories. Your expert tour guide will bring Portland to life through stories about the “wild days” when the city was overrun with saloons, brothels, and an underground world. You’ll learn about the notorious “crimps” who kidnapped unsuspecting sailors in the “Shanghai” tunnels and hear chilling stories of first-hand accounts of recent paranormal encounters.
This special guided Valentine’s Day tour includes all the beer and fear of our year-round haunted walk plus a very special, local chocolatey dessert.
