Buoy Beer Co. Returns with 2025 Lager Fest to Downtown Astoria
Oregon’s North Coast will celebrate the nuances of lagers come the weekend of May 9th, as Buoy Beer Co. will once again host Lager Fest! This year’s festival will be a bit different as it’ll take place over two days at the brewery’s new taproom located at 1343 Duane Street in Astoria, Oregon. The 2025 edition of Lager Fest will take place on Friday, May 9th from 3:00 – 8:00pm and Saturday May 10th from 11:00am – 8:00pm.
This year’s Lager Fest will be the first time it has been held at Buoy Beer Co. new taproom that just so happens to be the former home of Reach Break Brewing, which closed one year ago. The festival that takes over two days will see Buoy Beer Co. and 18 guest breweries to give festival goers a chance to taste variations of the beer style’s color, fermentation processes, hop profiles, and malt flavors.
Buoy Beer Co. is teaming up with some top notch breweries to showcase lagers of all styles—crisp, malty, hoppy, and everything in between! The brewery lineup features Cloudburst Brewing, Astoria Brewing, Obelisk Beer Co., Ruse Brewing, Vice Beer, Trap Door Brewing, Fort George Brewery, Grand Fir Brewing, Public Coast Brewing, Wayfinder Beer, Gold Dot Brewing, Helvatia Cider, Breakside Brewery, Von Ebert Brewing, Chuckanut Brewery, Threshhold Brewing, Foreland Beer Co., Freight Supply Co., and Highland Park Brewery.
But that’s not all! Buoy Beer Co. will also be providing five various lagers, including the brand’s new year-round lager, West Coast Pilsner, and extremely limited release Decapitator aged in Agave Spirit barrels.
Admission into Lager Fest is free and is family friendly as all ages are welcome! Lager Fest mugs and tokens will be for sale on-site, giving beer lovers a chance to taste variations of the style’s color, fermentation processes, hop profiles, and malt flavors. Sponsored by Buoy Beer Co., Run on the River is a fundraiser for Astoria Parks Recreation and Community Foundation which helps individuals and families access health and wellness opportunities through scholarships.
