The BeerMongers Celebrates 15 Years of Portland Craft Beer!

With well over 5,400 days of operation behind them, The BeerMongers will host its Fifteenth Anniversary Celebration over eight days from September 1 – 8, 2024. There will be plenty of events to take in the lead up to the official anniversary date of Thursday, September 5th when it celebrates 5,480 days open and a few past this date, including a Fresh Hop Festival!

Through its nearly 15 years, The BeerMongers have seen plenty of changes and have grown into a popular spot for beer fans to hang out and enjoy the camaraderie of its staff and patrons. A few years ago after failed lease negotiations, Sean Campbell, owner of The BeerMongers, relocated the bar a few blocks away to 2415 SE 11th Avenue. With this new location, there is a nice outdoor space that sees a handful of various food carts pop in from time to time, something that’ll be happening during its 15th anniversary week.

Family & Friends Tap Takoever with Dana Carey Pastries – All Day
Beer Specials will include a Taplist of the favorite staff beers, definitely Sierra Nevada Pale on that list…

Monday, September 2
Upright Brewing Collaboration Release with Sean & Russell’s Hot Dog & Burger Cook Out – 2:00pm
Sean and Russell Monger will be cooking burgers and dogs for our customers, friends and families.
We will be featuring the beers of Upright Brewing, one of the great Portland breweries. Alex and his team also celebrated their 15th Anniversary earlier this year. They will be releasing a special version of Scrap Iron-Mongers edition on draft and in bottles. We will also have some other Upright beers including Seven, Stateside Saison, Watermelon Wit and Oktoberfest. Special guest appearance…perhaps?

Tuesday, September 3
High Stakes Cribbage Tournament – 6:00pm
A Tuesday tradition for years this Cribbage Tournament will be High Stakes! The Winner will get $100 and a Cantillon bottle! We will also be tapping the last keg of our Duality collaboration Oat Pale Mild. Kenton Monger worked on this beer with Mike Duality. We have enjoyed the unique brews Duality has been creating and Kenton is particularly a fan. We will have other Duality offerings on draft and cans.

Cellar Sale & Bottle Share – 5:00pm
A Wednesday tradition for years this Bottle Share Wednesday will include some vintage bottles for sale and some vintage draft beers.
Please feel free to bring a bottle to share, one is OK thanks! Make it really old or really awesome.

Von Ebert & Friends will be there onsite beginning at 5:00pm with an epic lineup of beers that includes Festbier, Czech Pilsner, Crosby Farms Estate Pale Ale, and the delicious Drink Me Potion Raspberry Tart Ale. Joining in on the fun will be long time BeerMonger customer Kyle Krause to discuss the new collaboration Grisette with pFriem Family Brewers.
