Dave Marliave of Flat Tail Brewing And His Sponsors Raise $8K For National Brain Tumor Society
On March 29, 2017, Dave Marliave of Flat Tail Brewing set out on a motorcycle ride from Corvallis, Oregon to San Diego, California. This ride, 2017 Highway to Health that raised money for the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS) took Dave 1,000 miles on two wheels along Interstate 5.
Earlier this year Dave reached out to Angelo De Ieso, founder of BREWPUBLIC and brain tumor survivor and advocate about becoming part of the Team BREWPUBLIC fundraiser for the NBTS. Dave originally set a lofty goal of raising $5,000 for NBTS but once it was all set and done he blew that out of the water by raising over $8,250!
So what is next? The Portland National Brain Tumor Society Walk takes place on Sunday, August 6, 2017. Team BREWPUBLIC‘s fundraising goal this year is $20K and we would appreciate any additional support that can be provided including participating in this year’s walk.
As for next year Dave has a goal of raising $15K for charity on his annual charitable motorcycle ride. Planning for this ride can never be too early as Dave is always looking for money or motorcycle equipment for next year’s ride. If so please contact dave (at) flattailbrewing.com.
