Fremont Brewing Opens New Urban Beer Garden in Seattle’s Columbia City Neighborhood
Fremont Brewing has added a new taproom in its hometown of Seattle in the Columbia City neighborhood that’s located just southeast of downtown. The doors are now open to the new Fremont Brewing Urban Beer Garden Columbia City and the new location will officially celebrate its grand opening this weekend from Friday, July 26 through Sunday, July 28. During these three days, pints will all be $1 off!
“We’re excited to become part of the dynamic Columbia City community,” said Matt Lincecum, founder of Fremont Brewing, in a press release. “This new Urban Beer Garden allows us to share our passion for great beer with more Seattleites while creating a welcoming space for neighbors to gather and connect.”
This is the first expansion that Fremont Brewing has done since being acquired earlier this year by the Seattle Hospitality Group. It has been in the works prior to the acquisition announcement, but is now fully open. The Seattle Hospitality Group are also owners of Pike Brewing and Ethan Stowell Restaurants.
The new Fremont Brewing Urban Beer Garden Columbia City is located at the corner of S Edmunds Street and Rainier Ave S. According to Fremont Brewing, this new space was redeveloped with sustainable design elements aligning with the brewery’s commitment to environmental stewardship. The surrounding area is home to a few tap houses and two other breweries, Flying Lion Brewing and Machine House Brewery, that’ll make for a nice beer outing.
Featuring 20 taps, the new Columbia City Urban Beer Garden location offers plenty of indoor seating for up to 99 people with tables, a lounge area and of course its bleacher seating just like its Fremont location! The space is family and dog friendly. On site food will feature sandwiches and snacks prepared by Mammoth. And of course there will be
