Gigantic Brewing’s Hawthorne Pub Unveils the Portrait Room

Nearly one year ago, Gigantic Brewing opened its Hawthorne Pub located almost equal distance between its original brewery location and its Robot Room. However, there was one element of the new location that was not completely finished when the pub opened. Well the wait is now over as the Hawthorne Pub is excited to announce the debut of The Portrait Room.

Situated down the long hallway that leads to the splendid outdoor back patio, you’ll find The Portrait Room. It’s a room that is furnished with the finest English Oak and leather seating. This space is perfect for conversations over a pint and meal or with a group of friends to play a board game or cards. The one thing you will not find in The Portrait Room are minors. This room is reserved for those 21 years of age or older.

The Portrait Room also holds a large television that will be showing the Portland Thorns Semifinal match on Sunday, November 5th, as well as any future Thorns action in the 2023 campaign. Then come next spring, this same television will show Portland Timbers matches as well. No word yet on if the crew at Gigantic will be broadcasting the Portland Trail Blazers games this season. Maybe with a bit of prodding, they may just do so.

If you’re looking for a small event space, The Portrait Room is also available for private event rentals and community gatherings. There’s seating capacity of up to 30 for formal events and room for 24 guests during mingling occasions, it’s the perfect venue for your next special gathering. But this is not all that is happening at the Gigantic Brewing Hawthorne Pub as it has recently added a Happy Hour Menu that includes a $7.00 Smashburger. This menu that compliments its Full Menu is available all day on Monday and then 3:00-5:00pm the rest of the week from Tuesday – Sunday. Plus, there are two seasonal specials now on the menu, a mouthwatering Bacon Deluxe Burger Smashburger and the delectable Buffalo Chicken Sandwich.

And there’s a new beer to pair with these food options with the new Pay Czech Dark Lager that sits at 5.6% ABV. There are quite a few breweries as of late releasing this beer style and now Gigantic Brewing has joined the fray. Pay Czech Dark Lager is described as being malty but not too sweet, chocolatey but not too roasty, and full-bodied but very drinkable. The bottle’s label artwork was create by Ben Walker Storey.

The Hawthorne Pub is open seven days a week, Monday – Friday from 3:00-9:00pm and Saturday – Sunday from Noon-9:00pm. All ages are welcome.  Well-behaved leashed dogs are allowed on the large beautiful patio only.
