Bear Republic Brewing Company Releases Thru the Haze IPA

Well established for its hop forward beers, Northern California’s Bear Republic Brewing Co. is set to release its first bottled hazy IPA, Thru the Haze India Pale Ale.

In brewing Thru the Haze IPA the brew team at Bear Republic used Vic Secret, Citra and Hallertau Blanc hops to create a juicy but less bitter hoppy beer. Grapefruit and tropical fruit aromas fill your senses prior to the beer’s citrus flavors hitting your taste buds.

“Overall it’s more juicy, less bitter and bracing,” declared Bear Republic Brewing Co. Master Brewer Peter Kruger in a statement. “There’s a tangerine and strong melon character to it with a hint of concord grape. Compared to traditional American IPAs, Thru the Haze is more approachable with a wider range of flavor compared to west coast style ales. For this beer, we’ve added hops later in the brewing process, giving you the aroma of hops along with a fuller mouth feel.”

Thru the Haze IPA Stats:
ABV: 6.4%
IBUs: 30
Color: Straw
Featured Hops: Vic Secret, Citra, and Hallertau Blanc
