As we enter summer, Buoy Beer releases its latest beer in its rotating 12oz can lineup with 6-packs of Hoppy Blonde Ale. This marks the second of four beer styles that will be part of the 2019 lineup and is the first time Buoy Beer has released this beer.

“When the discussion started to decide the summer rotating can, the ABV was the first point to be agreed on,” said Kevin Shaw, Brewmaster at Buoy Beer, in a statement. “We wanted something light… a light, crisp drinker for the summer.”

Hoppy Blonde Ale is bright, straightforward ale that sits at 4.8% ABV. Brewed as a traditional blonde ale with a subtle, yet solid malt bill but its healthy dose of Pacific Northwest Comet, Simcoe, and Meridian hops makes it unique to our region. Hoppy Blonde Ale is fresh and grassy with notes of citrus and pine.

“There’s so many great activities to do in the summer, especially around Astoria.” Said Jessyka Dart-Mclean, Marketing Manager at Buoy Beer, in a statement. “Fishing, paddle boarding, hiking, or just chilling at the beach, you definitely need to bring along a few fresh beers on those excursions.”

Hoppy Blonde Ale will be available in 6-packs of 12oz cans distributed in Oregon and Southwest Washington for the next few months.
