Celebrate the 2024 Holidays with Seasonal Beers from Shiner

The Spoetzl Brewery, the maker of Shiner Beer, has a long-storied brewing history that dates back to 1909 in the small Texas town of Shiner. Well over a century later, Shiner has become one of the few craft breweries to deliver its beer to all 50 states and Mexico.

Now with the holidays approaching, Shiner has released its winter seasonal, Shiner Holiday Cheer with a brand-new look. But that’s not all as Shiner has also released a new 12 beer variety pack, Home For The Holidays, with the festive season in mind.

The annual winter release of Shiner Holiday Cheer is now available. Once again, it’s an old-world Dunkelweizen brewed with Texas grown peaches and pecans. Holiday Cheer is full of dark, malty flavors that are enhanced through Krausening to balance out this festive holiday beer that arrives at a pleasant 5.4% ABV. Look for it in stores in 6-packs priced at $8.99 and 12-packs at $14.99.

Joining Holiday Cheer this season is a 12-beer variety pack, Home For the Holidays! This new variety pack features a lineup of a dozen beers of all styles including two brand new offerings – FM 966, a sweet and spicy ale, and S’more, a dark ale brewed with chocolate & marshmallow with hints of graham cracker and vanilla. Each 12-pack retails at $17.99.

Home For the Holidays Variety Pack:

• FM 966 (ABV: 5.7%): A tribute to the European tradition of Springtime brews, this ale uses Golding, Sterling and Meridian hops for a sweet yet lightly spiced flavor.
• S’more (ABV: 5.0%): This is an easy-drinking deliciously dark ale brewed with chocolate & marshmallow with hints of graham cracker and vanilla.
• Frost (ABV: 5%): This deliciously distinctive dortmunder-style (German-style, relatively light bodied) ale brings a hint of malty sweetness that fades quickly to show a crisp,hoppy character.
• Holiday Cheer (ABV: 5.4%) This Shiner seasonal classic is an old-world Dunkelweizen brewed with Texas peaches and roasted pecans.
• Hefenweizen (ABV: 5.4%): A slight spin on the classic German brew with a touch of honey and citrus that serves as the perfect tribute to Shiner’s Texas-German roots.
• Candied Pecan (ABV: 6%): Brewers with praline pecans, this robust porter provides subtle notes of roasted pecan, vanilla, caramel and brown sugar.
• Golden Ale (ABV: 4.6.%): Dry hopped with Mosaic hops, this ale has a unique tropical aroma and a flavor that’s balanced by sweetness from the malt.
• Dunkelweizen (ABV: 5.4%): A Hefeweizen with a dark side and notes of clove and banana.
• Kosmos Reserve (ABV: 4.98%): A full-flavored, dry-hopped lager that is an ode to Kosmos Spoetzl, a Barvarian who was recruited to join the brewery and is now the namesake of the home of the Spoetzl Brewery, home of Shiner beer.
• Birthday Beer (ABV: 5%): Originally in honor of Shiner’s 106th birthday, this delicious stout is brewed with chocolate malt and real cocoa.
• Kölsch (ABV: 4.9%): An ode to Shiner’s old-world roots, this classic style originating in Cologne, Germany has a refreshing effervescence and a clean finish.
• Bavarian Amber (ABV: 4.9%): A complex beer featuring roasted malt and made using old-world techniques with a distinctive floral hop aroma and smooth finish.
