Hopworks Brewery Releases Blackberry Haze IPA
|PORTLAND, Ore. — July 7, 2023 — Certified B Corp Hopworks Brewery has released a limited, fruity seasonal brew that embodies the best of Oregon’s summer. Blackberry Haze IPA is packed with fresh berries from Bella Organics on Sauvie Island, and reinforced with Azacca and Hopsteiner Experimental #09326 hops. These hops were selected to add complexity and highlight the jamminess of the blackberries. The result is a medium-bodied IPA with a soft bitterness that’s bursting with berry flavor, weighing in at 6.7% ABV and 46 IBU
“After great success with strawberries the last few years, I was excited to move on to my absolute favorite summertime fruit, deliciously plump, ripe blackberries,” said Ryan Pappe, head brewer at Hopworks. “Sourced directly from our friends at Bella Organic Farm, the berries add a lovely lavender tint, and seamlessly meld with the Northwest-grown hops. It is truly Pacific Northwest summertime in a glass!”
Blackberry Haze IPA is a very limited-run brew, available while supplies last in 16-ounce 4-packs at retailers in Oregon, at Bella Organics, and at Hopworks’ two pubs. Hopworks Brewery is located at SE 29th & Powell Blvd. in Portland, and SE 177th & Mill Plain Blvd. in Vancouver.
