Sierra Nevada Launches Rad Little Thing and Hop Tropical IPA
As we close out 2024, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. has announced the release of two new, limited-time beers, Rad Little Thing West Coast Hazy IPA and Hop Tropical IPA. Both beers will hitting the market this month and will be packaged in 6-pack, 12 ounce cans.
Here are additional details on each of the two new beers provided from Sierra Nevada.
Rad Little Thing West Coast Hazy IPA (7% ABV / 30 IBU) is the next installment in the brewery’s line of rotating hazy IPAs, the Limited Hazy Series. The new beer is a twist on two popular IPA styles. It features hops like Chinook, Magnum, Crystal and Citra® to deliver a classic West Coast IPA flavor profile with the smooth approachability of an East Coast-style Hazy IPA. It’s a coast-to-coast mash-up available for a limited time starting early December and into spring when the next beer in the Limited Hazy Series drops. MSRP $12.99 for 6-pack of 12-ounce cans.

Hop Tropical IPA (6.5% ABV / 54 IBU) is the newest seasonal beer release from Sierra Nevada. It stands in notable contrast to the chilly winter weather as it invokes the experience of a tropical escape with its lush Southern Hemisphere hops that boast notes of mango and passionfruit. Craft beer fans looking for an escape from typical seasonal beverages this winter will discover refreshing tropical flavor in Hop Tropical IPA. It starts hitting retail shelves in mid-December and will be available into spring. MSRP $12.99 for 6-pack of 12-ounce cans.
“I love winter, but sometimes the biting cold can be a bit much, and I find myself thinking of a beach somewhere in the tropics,” said Grossman. “This beer is that kind of thought process – its bright, fruity hop flavors transport me to that topical scene in my mind, which is a welcome escape in the depths of winter.”
