Von Ebert Brewing Late Summer 2024 Beer Releases

In less than one week, Von Ebert Brewing will release three beers, all on Thursday, August 15, 2024. This trio of beers includes the brwery’s popular Festbier, Evolution Series: Crosby Farms Estate Grown Pale Ale, and Evolution Series: Seamless Transition Hazy Double IPA.

Beginning with its Festbier, a beer that has been quite popular the past few years, is one that is inspired by the Munich-Style Festival Lager! Yes, the beer served at the modern day Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany. Festbier sits at 6.0% ABV and features a harmonious mix of European Pilsner, Vienna, and Carahell malts that are complemented by Tettnang hops.

“For a brewery honoring the German roots of Grandma Von Ebert, this beer embodies our motto ‘where tradition meets evolution.’ The festival beers of Bavaria evolved from darker colored Märzens to the lighter colored Festbiers you see today. In this beer, we highlight that modern presentation,” said Sam Pecoraro, brewmaster of Von Ebert Brewing. “Festbier’s smooth, subtle use of hops and slightly more malty notes makes it a perfect beer to transition from summer to fall.”

Also forthcoming are two new beers in Von Ebert’s Evolution Series of beers. The first one, Evolution Series: Crosby Farms Estate Grown Pale Ale, is brewed in collaboration with Crosby Hops. This pale ale is a celebration of the Willamette Valley’s hops. Crosby Farms Estate Grown Pale Ale is described as offering bright notes of strawberry, sweet orange, and pink grapefruit while coming in at 5.8% ABV.

The other beer in Von Ebert’s Evolution Series of beers is Evolution Series: Seamless Transition Hazy Double IPA. This latest Hazy Double IPA from Von Ebert is one that features lush tropical flavors on a creamy and viscous body, with captivating aromas of pineapple, red currant, blackberry, and a hint of diesel. Then to make Seamless Transition Hazy Double IPA stand out even more, Von Ebert partnered with Abstrax Hops to infuse Brewgas Pineapple Express terpenes the bring forth strain-specific notes of cannabis that elevate the tropical profile to a whole new level. Expect even more pineapple and citrus nuances in every sip.

Also of note, Von Ebert Brewing continues to make progress, slowly but surely, with its new production facility in North Portland at the former home of Ecliptic Brewing. The brewery was a bit off with a Spring 2024 opening but still plans to open this facility in the future. Now the brewery is stating that it’ll open this Fall. This expansion will allow Von Ebert Brewing to produce as much at 20,000 barrels per year and grow its distribution throughout Oregon and Washington, and eventually Idaho and parts of California.
