2 New Boneyard Beers
|We recently received an email from the staff at Boneyard Beer of Bend, Oregon informing us of two new beers that they are releasing. Anyone who knows Boneyard knows that these are definitely worth checking out.
Boneyard Belgian Pale Ale (B.P.A) – As far as we are aware, this is the first Belgo-style release from Boneyard.
6.5 % ABV / 40 IBU
O.G. 15 Plato / F.G. 3 Plato
Golden to straw in color this BPA has combined the delicious aromas and flavors of a Belgian Pale Ale with American hop varietals (Citra, cascade, centennial). Spicy and phenolic characteristics from Belgian yeast collide with tropical fruit and citrus from American hops. All with toasty malt overtones.
Stallion – Strong Pale Ale – If you missed this one at the Horse Brass’ 36th Anniversary party on November 1, look for it at the brewery’s tasting room or around Portland and Bend where specialty brews are offered.
6.0 ABV / 45 IBU
OG 14 Plato / FG 2.5 Plato
A generous amount of Pale, Crystal 75 and Special B malts push this strong pale ale, giving it a full bodied and carmel like backbone. Copper in color and up front flavors of Centennial and Chinooks, hopped at 3 pounds per barrel are used to create this special beer for the Horse Brass 36th anniversary on November 1st 2012
Thanks to Boneyard for always coming up strong with great beers and also for being a big part of our KillerBeerWeek celebration last month. Cheers!
Horse Brass informed me that they have 24 kegs of Stallion, and they just tapped keg #2 Friday evening. Great stuff!
