Agrarian Ales: An Authentic Oregon Farmhouse Brewery
|Over the weekend we visited Agrarian Ales in Coburg, Oregon to sample some farm fresh beers. This unique farmhouse brewery just outside of Eugene, Agrarian features brews made with farm-grown ingredients like estate hops, chile peppers, and regionally sourced honey. Agrarian even makes their own proprietary sodas including a yerba mate chile one and one made from raspberries, lemon balm, and honey. Simply delicious.
A visit to Agrarian Ales is quite the experience. As you enter the estate, you can watch hops growing before you. Upon entering the tasting portion of the farm, housemade food is available as well as merchandise and lots of distinctly flavorful craft beers that are ever-rotating.
Agrarian Ales is run by proprietor Ben Tilley and brewers Tobias Schock and Nathan Tilley. It’s a real family affair with a lot of love put into each batch. Agrarian Ales is open Friday through Sunday 3p.m. until sundown. Make sure to check out their website: http://www.agales.com/ to learn more. Hello again, bicycle racing the http://www.transambikerace.com again in 2015, June 6th.
Had a grand time there on my way out, westbound, last year…Made it out to sleep under cover at the church two miles down the road east of you at about midnight-230 miles the first day…Was hoping to make it earlier to enjoy a pizza and have a brew before you closed up shop Saturday night…….
Hope I can make the same route on my way to Astoria again before race day to enjoy the atmosphere!
