Upright Releases Unnamed Tribute Beer
|Join Upright Brewing for a special bottle release party featuring their latest beer, an unnamed brew without a specificity toward any style. Local beer writer and enthusiast Abe Goldman-Armstrong will spinning records (under the moniker of “DJ Bogman”) throughout the night, playing classic punk records before this beer gets “lost in the supermarket.”
In addition to this latest latest release Upright will also be pouring a single cask firkin of Four with the addition of juiced rhubarb grown beer lover Ron Boesl. Other specialty taps and snack will also be provided.
This Clash punk rock beer available will be a limited run of new t-shirts featuring the bottle artwork by Ezra Johnson-Greenough.
Beers Update:
Just announced, these other beers will be tapped at this event as well:
- Redwood Smoked Lager a new draft only seasonal that features malts that were hand smoked by Upright in a dark, malty and smooth beer with a medium level of smokiness.
- Four Extra: A special version of Four fermented with Thiriez yeast (propped from a bottle) and dry-hopped with French strisselspalt’s.
- A special keg of the summer Reggae Junkie Gruit (a no-hops brew) specially Dry-hopped with Tettnanger and Perle’s.
- Guest tap, Jolly Pumpkin’s Calabaza Blanca
Nice reference to Lost in the Supermarket! I say we seize the moment and call it The Only Beer That Matters. If Upright doesn’t want to name it, that doesn’t stop us.
