Crazy Beer Week Tips Off Tonight at Belmont Station
One thing is for certain when it comes to Belmont Station and great beer – they go together like peanut butter and chocolate. It seems that every day is a bloody beer festival judging by their draught and bottle selection, and in like Spinal Tap, starting today, they are turning it up to eleven.
Belmont Station owner Carl Singmaster says “We’ll have a mind-blowing list of rare and unusual drafts in the Biercafe as we give thanks to the world’s great craft brewers!” Sounds like a hyperbole, but it’s not. Kicking things off Monday November 22 Belmont will tap begin by tapping four kegs from Belgium’s Struise Brewery including Black Albert, Black Damnation 2 “Mocha Bomb”, Pannepot Reserva, and Red Haired Jeanne.
If you miss Monday’s taps you might be lucky enough to get what’s left on Tuesday when they tap Mikkeller Big Worse, Monks Brew, and a vintage keg of Stone Vertical Epic 10/10/10. On Wednesday it’s BFM Cuvee Alex Le Rouge, De Dochter van de Korenaar Embrasse, and Barley Brown’s “Trappist” Strong Ale making an appearance. Thursday serves as an intermission for Thanksgiving day when the shop is closed but it all resumes on Friday at noon with specialty pours of Nogne O Two Captains Double IPA and Haand Odin’s Tipple. Saturday folks can try two Belgian Imperial stouts: DeMolen Disputin Stout and Hel & Verdoemenis. And the finale on Sunday will hostRussian River Consecration, Supplication, and Temptation as well as Oud Beersel Framboise.
Belmont Station is located at 4500 SE Stark Street in sunny Portland, Oregon. For more information, call (503) 232-8538.
