The Big White Bean: A Food and Beer Preview @ In The Kitchen
|Join In The Kitchen as they welcome The Big White Bean into their castle for the first ever preview dinner of the new restaurant project of Travis Surmi and Annalou Vincent. These two have been working hard at developing a super fun food menu with a unique selection of beers to compliment the dishes. Think comfort food, think French/Euro countryside, think adventure, think “this is going to knock my socks off!”
Travis Surmi, new to Bellingham, has come to us from Montana via an eight year stint in Portland, OR. In Portland he worked with world class chefs, climbed the ranks to executive chef, traveled the world for the sake of food, butchered whole pigs, and taught cooking classes. All his experiences have shaped and formed his style of food into ultimate comfort foods of all kinds with many influences and inspirations.
Annalou Vincent, a Bellingham native, is back after being gone for almost eight years. While away she acquired a BA in professional photography (specializing in food), was art director of Beer Northwest Magazine from conception to re-branding, organized many beer and cheese pairing activities, worked at a cheese shop, worked at a brewery, and worked at one of the funnest restaurants in Portland. Embracing all her endeavors and adventures with her three passions in mind; photography, food, beer.
Together, Travis and Annalou bring seasoned backgrounds interfaced with a passionate vision that will bring a bright, new, comfortable, and romantic perspective to the Bellingham food scene.
Ticket price is $40 which includes a five course feast and all beer pairings. Tax and gratuity is separate.
Reservations can be made on our website, www.thebigwhitebean.com, or by calling (503) 869-7541.
