Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Barleywine Release Party
So the legend of Bigfoot is one that has been part of the Pacific Northwest for generations. There are beer festivals, a brewpub, a concert festival among others that celebrate Bigfoot and his other known name of Sasquatch. Tonight we can add another event related to Bigfoot that will take place. White Owl Social Club will be hosting the Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Barleywine Release Party tonight from 6:30 to 9:30pm.
This will be a blast-off party to celebrate the annual release of the highly acclaimed Sierra Nevada “Bigfoot” Barleywine. White Owl and Sierra Nevada want to really kick it off the right way, so they added some other killer Sierra Nevada brews to the checklist to give praise to one of the very best and longest-running craft breweries in North America. And Sierra Nevada prizes will be awarded.
Sierra Nevada Beer Lineup:
- Sierra Nevada 2014 Bigfoot Barleywine
- Sierra Nevada 2013 Bigfoot Barleywine
- Sierra Nevada Devastation Fresh Hopped Cascadian Dark Ale (fresh batch)
- Sierra Nevada Ovila Belgian Quad w/ Plums
- Sierra Nevada Beer Camp Imperial Red Ale
And if the beer is not enough to draw you in, they have also invited Bigfoot investigators to give presentations on Bigfoot studies, theories, history and background information.
Their first guest will be Guy Edwards of the local group Bigfoot Lunch Club, which hosts a monthly “Bigfoot and beer” meeting called HopsSquatch. Guy Edwards will give us a short video presentation detailing the various forms of Bigfoot.
Then get ready for the main event! The next guest will be acclaimed Bigfoot analyst Rhettman A. Mullis, Jr., (MS, PhD-ABD, CAF, MHP). Mullis is best known as a spokesperson and founder of the Washington-based group Bigfootology, which comprises a team of scientists who analyze Bigfoot phenomena and evidence, as well as advise in and conduct field research. Mullis is also a well known frequent guest on the wildly popular talk radio show “Coast To Coast AM”, a long running and nationally syndicated (1190 AM in Portland, OR every night at 10:00pm) program for all things paranormal. Mullis is taking his personal time to drive down here from Bellevue, Washington on a weeknight to speak at this event.
It is very special and considerate for these speakers to donate their time, and we really appreciate their generosity. There will be a break in between both speakers, allowing plenty of downtime for us to enjoy the brews and mingle amongst ourselves, as well as a raffle with Sierra Nevada prizes. Beer, Bigfoot, and more beer…Sounds like an entertaining evening.

I love drinking this beer after a long day of hiking through the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. I am a rattlesnake hunter, and this is the perfect beer to drink after a long day of traversing long trails in Auburn. Sometimes, late into the night, I will let loose a ferocious scream in hopes of attracting the elusive creature.
