Boneyard Hop Venom
|One of our favorite hoppy brews is Boneyard Beer‘s Hop Venom Double IPA. A classic West Coast imperial IPA, it’s big and malty, yet surprisingly balanced for a 10% ABV, 80 IBU beast. The key to Hop V’s deliciousness is the floral and aromatic hops obtained through copious late addition lupulin. It’s not so bitter, because, as the brewer states “No one wants a bitter beer face!” The Bend, Oregon-based brewery was inspired by magnificently hopped brews, most notably Firestone Walker’s Double Jack Imperial IPA. The killer artwork above was composed by artist Dana MacKenzie. Cheers to Boneyard for this killer brew. We will have it pouring at our KillerBeerFest 3.5 at Bailey’s Taproom on Sunday May 27, 2012. More details to come…

I’ve had this beer on multiple occasions at Life of Riley in downtown PDX. Super tasty!
