BREWLAND Indiegogo Campaign

BREWLAND Logo

A small group of independent filmmakers from Boston have set out to bring us a new in-depth look at craft beer in the United States as told by some of the most noted names in the industry. BREWLAND is set to examine what it takes to bring craft beer to the next level along with providing some background in the industry that we all cherish so much.

Last year director Mike Sills, producer Matthew Parola, writer Chris Crossen, director of photography, Gabe Munitz-Alessio, and editor Don Packer got together to begin production on BREWLAND. The film started out as a small passion project about craft breweries in Vermont. They conducted interviews with The Alchemist, Hill Farmstead, Vermont Pub and Brewery and many other restaurants, businesses and farmers.

To attract a more diverse lineup of stories, some told and some not, the crew expanded their research to Boston with Harpoon, Jack’s Abby, Mayflower, Samuel Adams then to New York with Evil Twin. They then interviewed craft beer historians Tom Acitelli and Lauren Clark.

Currently the film crew is planning their last set of interviews that will take them westward after some more research with Beer Advocate, Brooklyn Brewery, Clown Shoes, Dogfish Head, High Horse, Spencer, Trillium, Victory. In Colorado they will be talking to Avery, Breckenridge, the Brewer’s Association, CraftBeer.com, Great Divide and Oskar Blues. In California they will visit Anchor Brewing, Firestone Walker, Lost Abbey, Russian River, Sierra Nevada, Stone and Untappd.

The goal of BREWLAND’s Indiegogo campaign is to raise $65,000 to finish the film the way it deserves to be. The funding from this campaign will help purchase hard drives, pay legal fees, and cover the post-production costs of editing, audio mix and mastering, color grading and much more. This campaign has only a little over a week left when it closes at 11:59pm Pacific on September 30th.

BREWLAND BeerThe production team is in it for the long haul. The ultimate goal is to complete the film, no matter what it takes. The money will be going strictly towards the completion of the project and not to the producers or director of the film.

All contributors will receive access to an exclusive behind the scenes look at the making of BREWLAND. You will get never-seen-before images & videos, and posts from the crew, early access to all things BREWLAND and so much more.

There is a large selection of BREWLAND swag like stickers, koozies, American Apparel t-shirts and hoodies, and becher glasses all with their logo from designer Andrew Dernavich.

When completed, BREWLAND will be able for purchase on Blu-Ray, DVD and digitally through iTunes, Amazon and other platforms.
