One consistent Oktoberfest Märzen beer that returns to the marketplace each fall is Bob’s ‘47 from Kansas City’s Boulevard Brewing. The beer pays tribute to Bob Werkowitch, a Master Brewer and graduate of the U.S. Brewer’s Academy in 1947. This malt forward Munich-style amber lager is perfect for a crisp fall day.

Bob’s ’47 pours a dark amber color and bursts with toasty malt aromas. Upon first sip flavors of caramel malt come forth that are well balanced out from the subtle floral and spicy characters of the Hallertauer hops. Bob’s ’47 sits at 5.8% ABV and 27 IBUs.

Suggested food pairings provided by Boulevard Brewing includes burgers, pretzels and mustard, roasted chicken, roasted pork, sausage, and pizza.

Bob’s ’47 is available on draft and in 12oz bottles.
