Widmer Brothers Steel Bridge Porter Release Party at Belmont Station
|Widmer Brothers Brewing latest Collaborator Project with the Oregon Brew Crew receives its official release on Wednesday, November 6th from 5:00 – 7:00pm at Belmont Station. Steel Bridge Porter was developed by notable homebrewer Noel Blake.
Now in its 15th year, the Collaborator Project, is an ongoing partnership between Widmer Brothers and the Oregon Brew Crew, where an annual homebrew competition is held and the winning beers are brewed by Widmer Brothers for local distribution. Historically, these releases have been one-time small batch draught beers, but the release of Steel Bridge Porter is a larger release that will be also be available in bottles.
Join Widmer Brothers Brewing, Noel Blake, and the Oregon Brew Crew for the release of Steel Bridge Porter, the latest release in the Collaborator Project. The Collaborator Project is a collaboration between home brewers in the Oregon Brew Crew and Rob and Kurt Widmer of Widmer Brothers Brewing. Steel Bridge Porter, a recipe developed by homebrewer and Oregon Brew Crew member Noel Blake, is the latest release in the Collaborator Project.
For those of you that do not know, Noel Blake is quite the brewer. From a winning essay contest, Blake came up with the recipe that became Ommegang’s Three Philosophers. Blake is also responsible for a couple of other Collaborator winning recipes of Sled Crasher and Wit.
Come meet Noel and Rob Widmer, and get a taste of the Steel Bridge Porter at Belmont Station. Bottles will be available for purchase in the bottleshop and Steel Bridge Porter will be pouring in the Belmont Station bier cafe!
